What are the steps to batch add new dresses and images

To add new dresses, follow these steps...

  1. Download ALL the HiRes photos to houseofwu/images/currentstyles (spring11, or whatever current photo shoot is)
  2. Use DOS rename to rename ALL images to style##_f.jpg format.  (i.e. c:Inetpub\wwwroot\houseofwu\imags\currentstyles>ren 1591???_F_*.jpg 1591???_f.jpg)
  3. From PC, run Faststone Image Viewer to resize images for main product image and x-magnify images.
  4. In Faststone, navigate to the folder from the fist step, then Ctrl-A to select all high res photos to be converted, then Tools - Batch Image Convert.  Format=jpg, Settings button; quality=8, Output folder=C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\houseofwu\images\currentstyles\ximages and Advanced Options, Resize tab, Resize based on one, Predefined Side=Height, exactly=2000pixels. Click Ok, then Convert button.
  5. In Faststone, when done, make sure all high res photos to be converted, then Tools - Batch Image Convert.  Format=.jpg, Settings button, quality=6, Output folder=C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\houseofwu\images\currentstyles and Advanced Options, Resize tab, Resize "In Pixels", New Width=300, New Height=400. Click Ok, thenConvert button. (NOTE: This will overwrite the original downloaded HiRes photos to save PC space)
  6. FTP upload all 300w X 400h images to /files/currentstyles, and all ?w X 2000h to /files folder.  NOTE: By default, images in the LINE/files folder can be selected "from the server".
  7. Create product import.xls files for each line, then Save As importLINEShoot.cvs  (i.e importJAfall2010.cvs
  8. Import product files via xcart Admin-Import/Export... Coma... path to file=.../htdocs/files/currentstyles/
  9. To auto create thumbnails, run http://websiteline.com/autogenthumbnails.php.  Keep clicking "refresh" until all thumbnails DONE.
  10. Create [MAGNIFIER] import.xls files for each line, then Save As XimportLINEShoot.cvs  (i.e XimportJAfall2010.cvs)
  11. Create zoom/click to enlarge images via xcart Admin-Import/Export [MAGNIFIER] import file if doesn't timeout on server.  To manual add ximages, use Admin-Products-X-Magnifier, Add from server.  If 500 errror, rename LINE/.htaccessPHP5 to .htaccess.
  12. If didn't specify extra categories as extra rows in the product import files,  then update product categories via admin.
